I would just like to officially thank you and congratulate you on the fantastic job you did with the Businesswomen’s Association Regional Business Achiever Awards DVD.  You brought to the audience on the night of the awards, an insight into every one of our finalists’ lives, in such a way that everyone was delighted and excited about their achievements.

Just to tell you, that the Cape Town production was showcased at the BWA Board meeting in Johannesburg, and was applauded by all the Board members, and especially our key sponsor, Nedbank.  They have ideas to show it around on their branch plasma screens.  It was also shown at the Branch Chairperson’s training the day before, and was lauded as the best production ever done for the BWA. Thanks very much.  If it had not been for the effort you put into visiting everyone’s places of work, and for the creativity and flow you put into the production, it could have been a long boring production.  We have been inundated with requests for your details, so we will be passing them on to others.

Linda d’Holt-Hackner, Owner, The Touch Company (documentary, training DVDs, 2010)

Dreamcatcher Productions have produced great work for the Touch Company.  The two most recent projects perfectly illustrate their versatility and attention to detail.

Dreamcatcher coordinated an hour-long documentary on the World Cup.  The DVD was used in team activation workshops preparing One&Only hotel staff for the World Cup guests and giving them insights to be able to fully enjoy the event themselves.  The DVD was exciting, informative and brilliantly paced.  The process of working with Karen and Frans at Dreamcatcher was exceptionally professional with great communication and strict adherence to deadlines.  The process was also a lot of fun, with their advice and guidance proving invaluable in shaping the final product.

Dreamcatcher also produced an introductory DVD for the Real Service Training Programme for Toyota; once again they coordinated the script, music, voice over and editing.  The DVD has been brilliantly received, totally in keeping with the quality of Toyota’s international communication but offering an original and fresh look which helped inspire the staff.

Audio-visual communication is compelling, attractive and time efficient.  That, along with the ease of commissioning the work and the hassle-free nature of the production, means that this year I will be looking for opportunities for myself and my clients to utilize video clips to communicate with staff, guests and customers.

As an SME company, we never dreamt that we could afford a professionally made promotional DVD, but Dreamcatcher Productions proved us wrong!  We now have a professional DVD to showcase our VizPro® process mapping methodology.  What is more, we know we will do this again for our other products and services!

The Melomed Group had recently designed and built a new hospital in Belville with state of the art theatre and ward facilities.  At the launch of the hospital, presenting to ministers and local government officials, the hospital team wanted to highlight the transition from the previous hospital, which was old and out of date, to the new, modern, patient-friendly hospital at the new location.  Dreamcatcher produced a promotional dvd for use at the launch, as well as on the website.

Visual Sports Analysis is a Golf Training Forum for Aspiring and Current Golf Tour Professionals i.e. it is a high-expertise and costly operation. With this in mind, Karen and Frans made every effort to understand what VSA was, and the message we were trying to convey.  I felt that throughout the production of the Promotional DVD, that Karen knew exactly what she was doing, and was driving the processes expertly. I never got the impression that she was going to forget something at any stage, and was sure that the final product would be of the high standard I desired.

Sitting in the recording studio was the defining moment for me as owner/founder of VSA. I was ecstatic with the level of excellence of all involved. The product was being produced for the UK, and needed to be superb. I was extremely grateful that the final product was everything I had hoped it would be. I have shown it to my wife, mentors, business associates, friends and potential investors and without any prompting from me, all have expressed what a great DVD has been produced.

I will be using their services again, and highly recommend them.  If you want to work with pleasant, highly skilled people of integrity look no further. I generally try to only work with the best. When a friend recommended Karen and Frans I trusted their recommendation, and am looking forward to beginning our next project, for South Korea.

Debbie Sutherland – Chief Technician – Chief Directorate: National Geo-spatial Information (2010)

October 2009, The Chief Directorate : National Geo-spatial Information (NGI), a component of the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform, commissioned Karen Germishuys of Dreamcatcher Productions to provide this Office with a 6 minute movie entitled Earth to Map  and a still photography presentation entitled Hey I need a Map.

NGI required a movie that was scripted, acted and presented by our own personnel and Karen guided this process along with professionalism and composure.  Dreamcatcher always delivered on time, gave guidance in the script writing, took time to know our business, coaxed along our novice “actors” and the working relationship we developed with Dreamcatcher was of trust and confidence.

NGI now has a movie that is shown to all inductees of new staff into the Department, displayed on large screens at exhibitions and generally promotes NGI and the map-making process.  We are very proud of our movie and appreciation is due to Dreamcatcher for their excellent work.  It is sincerely hoped that NGI will have the opportunity to work together with Dreamcatcher in the future.
